We always leave room for walk-ins so if you cant find a reservation, dont sweat it, cmon over!Entre Amigos is a creative collaboration featuring award-winning Chicago-based musicians Roy McGrath (Sax), Gustavo Cortias (Drums), Hana Fujisaki (piano), and Kitt Lyles (Bass). The group draws on more than a decade of rich musical friendship to create honest and exciting sonic experiences. Featuring original compositions by each member, Entre Amigos music masterfully blends the sounds of Jazz tradition and innovation through hard-hitting arrangements that cut the fluff and reveal each musicians singular voice. Following a month-long tour in Asia in January 2024, the group hopped off the plane and into the studio to cut two soon-to-be released albums, capturing the music and emotions fresh from the tour. Trumpeter Constantine Alexander is a Chicago native, son of Greek immigrants. Went to Lincoln Park High School, Bachelors of Music from Roosevelt University, Masters in Music and Jazz Studies from DePaul University. This gifted young trumpeter has performed with numerous jazz VIPs including Ron Carter, Ernie Watts, Randy Brecker, Brian Lynch, Terell Stafford, Dennis Mackrel, and Paquito DRivera. Recent projects include collaborations with Snarky Puppy drummer, Robert Sput Searight II, and Cuban pianist, Chuchito Valds. A graduate of Roosevelt University with a degree in trumpet performance, Constantine has a masters in jazz performance from DePaul university. Constantine is in many groups around the city of Chicago which include Roy McGraths Menjunje and Marques Carrolls Trumpet Summit. Currently, Constantine is the jazz trumpet professor at Roosevelt university and the leader of the Large Jazz Ensemble. 2018 city-wide Luminarts Jazz Competition winner and Fellow. Current trumpet player for the Chicago Blackhawks.The Firetet is a quintet that consist of renowned Chicago musicians: Roy McGrath (Tenor Sax), Julius Tucker (Piano), Ben Dillinger (Bass), Greg Essig (Drums), and Constantine Alexander on Trumpet and Flugelhorn. The original music is similar to hard bop and contemporary jazz, influenced by Art Blakey, Sean Jones and Nicholas Payton.
